The Parish Council has acquired a Glutton Street Cleaner machine to keep the pavements clear of debris throughout the year and thus reduce the incidence of flooded drains. When leaves and debris get washed into the gutter they get crushed by passing cars and the sludge washes into the drains. The result – blocked drains, flooded roads and soaked pedestrians.
Training for volunteers to operate the Glutton Street Cleaner was held on 30 August.
We now have a team of volunteers in place, but the more operators the better so if you are interested why not give Council Clerk Nick Clemens a call on 01483 281148 to find out more about the training. You do need to be over 18 years old.
