The Secretary of State has announced that the decision on the Howard of Effingham/Berkeley Homes Appeal, previously expected by 22 February, has been delayed because of the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan Referendum. The letter from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government says:
"The Secretary of State notes that the referendum on the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan is taking place on 22 February 2018. He considers that the referendum is of potential relevance to this case and having given the matter careful consideration, he has decided that this case should not be determined until after the result of the referendum....He will now issue his decision on or before 22 March 2018."
More details of the Appeal are given below, and on the Effingham PC Appeal page.
