Guildford Borough Council's Local Plan sets out its vision for the borough and its approach to development between 2015 and 2034. When adopted, the plan will play an important role in shaping Guildford's future - how our towns and villages develop, protecting and enhancing our natural environment, developing our local economy, improving leisure and visitor facilities, and supporting more sustainable forms of travel.
The plan will now be independently examined by a planning inspector. The planning inspector appointed by the Secretary of State is Mr Jonathan Bore BA MRTPI DipUD.
The examination will start at 10.00am on Tuesday 5 June and will be held in the Council Chamber, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey GU2 4BB.
