Grange Park Opera Ticket Competition Rules

  1. Entry is only open to residents of the parish of East Horsley who are aged 18 or over at time of entry. This competition is being run by East Horsley Parish Council (“EHPC”).
  2. Only one entry per household. No entries on behalf of someone else. No purchase necessary.
  3. To enter the prize draw, competition entrants must go to the Grange Park Opera Competition page on www.easthorsley.info and correctly answer three questions about Grange Park Opera and opera in the grounds of West Horsley Place. Entrants will be given a link to the Grange Park Opera website where the answers to all the questions can be found.
  4. Parish councillors and employees of EHPC and Grange Park Opera are prohibited from entering the competition, as is anyone involved with running it.
  5. The closing date for entries is 11:59.59 pm on Monday 29 May 2017.
  6. All qualifying entrants who have correctly answered the competition questions will be included in the prize draw which will be held on or about 1 June 2017. The first such entrant who is chosen randomly in the prize draw and meets all the criteria in these rules will win the Grand Prize (the “Winner”).
  7. The Grand Prize will be two tickets for the Winner and his/her guest to attend Grange Park Opera’s performance of Puccini’s Tosca at “The Theatre in the Woods”, West Horsley, Surrey for the Gala opening night on 8 June 2017.
  8. EHPC reserves the right to verify an entry selected in the prize draw as compliant with these rules. If within a reasonable period of time (to be established at EHPC’s discretion) either the first entrant drawn cannot be contacted or the drawn entry cannot be verified, EHPC will hold re-draws until a legitimate Winner is found.
  9. No cash alternative will be offered. The Grand Prize tickets may not be re-sold but, with permission of Grange Park Opera, can be transferred.
  10. Anyone who enters this competition will be deemed to have read and accepted these rules and will be bound by them. Use of the Grand Prize tickets will be subject to the Grange Park Opera ticket terms and conditions.
  11. EHPC reserves the right, in unforeseen circumstances, to substitute the Grand Prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
  12. Neither travel to and from the opera house nor food and drink at the performance are included in the Grand Prize.
  13. Entrants agree that if they are selected as the Winner, their name and photograph may be published by EHPC in their newsletter and/or on their website.
  14. All personal data of entrants will be processed by EHPC in accordance with these rules, the preferences entrants have expressed during the entry process and the EHPC privacy policy, which may be found on their website www.easthorsley.info
  15. In the event of any doubt as to whether an entrant resides in East Horsley, EHPC will make its final decision by reference to the map showing the East Horsley Parish Boundary on the Guildford Borough Council planning portal available at www.guildford.gov.uk/searchforaplanningapplication
  16. EHPC's decision on any matter related to this competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
