SCC report that they are still receiving exceptionally high volumes of A&E call-outs relating to potholes.
They have 20 gangs fixing potholes and another 12 gangs providing traffic management (so the repairs can be undertaken safely).
On average they get about 250 customer reported defects per week. Last week there were 1,900 reports.
They have also mobilised three further gangs to assist, plus 2 x Thermal Patching gangs which will directly support of the A&E service on 12hr shifts. These gangs will be able to undertake permanent first time fixes.
Some non-critical works may be postponed whilst they deal with the increase in reports.
Please continue to report potholes online as SCC are putting more resources into the service.
