Surrey Neighbourhood Watch - reporting crime anonymously

Written by

Not everyone wishes or is able to report something direct to the Police or the authorities. You may be afraid that you will be identified by the criminal if you put a 999 or 101 call in. Or maybe that person is a loved one and you want to report them for their own good, and any clue that the call may have come from you would be unacceptable to that person.

What you want to do is report completely anonymously, with a guarantee that nothing can ever be traced back to you.

You can do this. You can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or complete a simple and secure form at Crimestoppers-uk.org. This charitable organisation, which is independent of the police, will take calls from anyone who want to report a crime or incident, but who also wants to remain 100% anonymous. Crimestoppers guarantees that the caller’s details, or anything that may help identify them, will NEVER be included with the report.
