M25 Closures

As you are aware, National Highways is delivering the M25 Junction 10 upgrade scheme which is due to finish in the spring of 2026.  As part of these works, a new central gyratory including two new bridges to improve the capacity for vehicles moving between the M25 and A3, have been built. The original two gyratory bridges now need to be demolished.

Two full weekend closures of the M25 in both directions, between junctions 10 (Wisley) and 11 (Chertsey), will be required to safely complete the demolition of the bridges. Each closure will allow one bridge to be demolished.

These closures will take place between:

  • 9pm on Friday 7 March and 6am on Monday 10 March 2025
  • 9pm on Friday 21 March and 6am on Monday 24 March 2025

The diversion routes are:

  • Motorists travelling clockwise will be diverted from the M25 at junction 10 to use the A3 northbound travelling via the A245 at Painshill and the A320 to rejoin the M25 at junction 11.
  • Motorists travelling anticlockwise will be diverted from the M25 at junction 11 to join the A320, then the A245 to Painshill to use the A3 southbound to rejoin the M25 at junction 10.
