Following earlier news that Ockham Road South would be closed from Monday 6 January, the closure will now come into force next Thursday 9 January; there is now also confirmation that the closure will not be continuous.
On weekdays, it will be closed between 9.30am and 4.00pm and on Saturdays from 8am until 1pm.
The work being carried out is a reconfiguration of the footway between Park Corner Drive and Old Rectory Lane. Its rundown state, has caused personal injury and East Horsley Parish Council is grateful to Surrey Highways for undertaking this urgently needed upgrade.
The closure of the road will not be the entire stretch at any one time.
