Surrey County Council has now extended its digital on-demand bus service to include East and West Horsley. This convenient service allows residents to book direct bus journeys anywhere within the Central North Zone, coveringlocations such as Bookham, Albury, Dorking, and Ashtead. In addition, passengers can travel to four specific locations outside of the zone:
- Cobham Waitrose
- Cobham Sainsbury’s
- Cobham Community Hospital
- Epsom Hospital
With a £280,000 contribution from the Manor Farm development, this Digital Demand Responsive Transport (DDRT) service now offers a flexible and accessible transport option for Horsley residents. The service uses comfortable minibuses, and bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis, with the system grouping passenger requests for the most efficient routes.
Surrey Connect operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 6pm. Rides can be booked up to seven days in advance or on the same day with as little as 30 minutes' notice.
Open to all ages, fares start at £2 for journeys up to 5 miles, with children over 5 receiving half-price fares. Free bus passes and LINK cards are also accepted.
