The Chairman's Thank You Party was held this year at The Drift Golf Club, attended by more than 100 residents, we celebrated our local volunteers, community and businesses. Chairman Robert Taylor said, “It was wonderful to welcome all the volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to help make our village special - we can’t thank you enough’.
Our 2023 Volunteer of the Year is Roy Proctor, chosen for his long-term leadership of the Horsley Countryside Preservation Society and campaigning on local countryside issues.

The Chairman's Award for 2023 has gone to Brian Austin who, for the past 20 years, has excelled as Warden of The Forest alongside The Drift. He was instrumental in devising the Horsley Jubilee Trails and restoring the Lovelace Bridges.

The 2023 Award for the best Christmas Shopfront, as selected by the Mayor of Guildford, Cllr. Musak Miah, has been presented to Sue Stevens of Serenity Skin Aesthetics. Sue said "Thank you to East Horsley Parish Council for your continued support and for the honour of winning the Christmas Shopfront Award. We have loved being part of the community for the last 15 years and will continue to do our best to put smiles on faces for many more years to come."

The Nomad Theatre was also presented with a framed front page of the East Horsley Parish Council Winter 2023 Newsletter, which depicts the Nomad team and an article acknowledging 25 Years of the new Nomad Theatre.
